Dobermann is a planet in the Outer Rim, located very far away from Coruscant. Its capital city is Kingsgrad, where the Presidential Palace is located at. The planet is a common destination for fugitives and other wanted people.
Some well-known Dobermann people include Jack Phoenix, a former CTU agent and Hammu Ventress, the former dictator of Dobermann.
History[edit | edit source]
From monarchy to democracy (1,550 BBY—132 BBY)[edit | edit source]
The Kingdom of Dobermann was founded approximately in 1,550 BBY. All the kings and queens were humans, which was a source of irritation to many natives. The last king of the royal bloodline was Henry XIII, who was killed in an uprising where the citizens rose against the king and demanded change.
Democratic Republic of Dobermann (132 BBY—32 BBY)[edit | edit source]
When the last king of Dobermann had been killed in 132 BBY, Sâròn Gall, the revolutionary behind the uprising proclaimed the former kingdom a democratic republic to be controlled by its citizen, not by a king.
Ventressian era (32 BBY—19 BBY)[edit | edit source]
In 32 BBY, a failed Coruscanti politican named Hammu Ventress had to flee into Dobermann to avoid getting captured by the officials or killed by his many enemies. He founded a new political party, the Hammunist Party and he was elected the new president of Dobermann, which made him the de facto dictator of Dobermann. Ventress led the planet with an iron fist until his ultimate defeat by the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY.
Imperial era (19 BBY—4 ABY)[edit | edit source]
Second democratic era (4 ABY—)[edit | edit source]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The name of the planet is an obvious reference to the dog breed. The natives of the planet are Doberman-like humanoids.
